Pain Management groups are an evidence-based psychoeducational (learning-based) and experiential programme. Each group is run by a multidisciplinary team of pain specialists including a Pain Psychologist, Pain Specialist Physiotherapist, Pain consultant, Dietetic/Nutritionist, Occupational Therapist, and other specialist speakers relevant to your condition.
Our programmes follow the latest NICE (National Institute for Clinical Excellence) guidelines and recommendations and are continually monitored for ways in which they can be improved.
The professionals involved in your group are specialists in the field of pain, working within leading Pain Clinics within the NHS and are supportive and on hand during the programme to answer any questions or concerns.
The Programme consists of an eight-week Cognitive Behavioural therapy (CBT) and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) based course, once a week for three hours each week. Group sizes are kept to an optimum number to facilitate group support and engagement.
All clients applying to join one of our group programmes will need to be assessed individually to check their readiness before joining a programme.
We accept both self and professional referrals.
Please contact us if you have questions with regard our group programmes or would like to reserve a space.
